Role Overview:
As a Completion Engineer for the Blast Furnace 6 Revamp, you will play a critical role in overseeing the final stages of the project to ensure that all tasks, processes, and documentation are meticulously completed before the blast furnace is operational again. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of activities to guarantee the safety, functionality, and adherence to operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough inspection and testing of equipment, systems, and components according to industry standards and project specifications.
• Ensure quality control measures are met and verify adherence to quality standards during the revamp.
• Oversee the preparation of essential documentation, including technical manuals, safety protocols, and maintenance guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry guidelines.
• Coordinate with various teams, including Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, and Start-Up teams, for timely task completion.
• Lead completions walkdowns, from construction phases to commissioning stages.
• Collaborate with the Quality Management team to oversee the progress of Punch List data and staged completion.
• Collaborate with the planning and scheduling department to ensure milestone dates are met.
• Interpret engineering deliverables, such as P&ID’s, block diagrams, and instrumentation lists.

This program is essential for maintaining a competitive hot metal productivity aligned with Tata Steel Europe’s long-term strategy.
The BF6 Repair Program spans multiple sub-projects and will take place from 2020 to 2024. Your role as a Completion Engineer will contribute directly to the program’s success, ensuring the secure and reliable production process for years to come.

•Bachelor or Masters degree in Electronics and relevant experience in project coordination, construction, commissioning, and quality control within the engineering field.
This position can be filled in both freelance and temporary employment.
