Function
Key Responsibilities
- Translate functional requirements into practical and efficient designs that meet classification society rules and internal standards.
- Work closely with structural, mechanical, and outfitting colleagues, as well as production and yard teams.
- Ensure manufacturability and serviceability of designed systems.
Support the preparation of production drawings and documentation packages.
Proactively identify and resolve engineering issues.

About the Role
As a Structural & Outfitting Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the 3D design and integration of complex yacht systems using Siemens NX. Your work ensures that everything fits, functions, and can be built to the highest standards of yacht craftsmanship. Tasks include:
- Design and integration of structural and outfitting systems — from hatches, lifts, anchoring equipment, thrusters, and foundations to davits, cranes, helidecks, swim platforms, tanks, and hydraulic systems.
- lDetail engineering of interior parts and technical systems — including engine room layouts, HVAC ducts, cable trays, and piping, all designed to fit perfectly within the yacht’s tight spaces and luxurious design. (Because no one wants a cable tray running through a marble bath!)
- Production preparation (CAM) — generate accurate production drawings and CNC data for components like aluminium frames, composite panels, and outfitting or interior parts, ready for manufacturing.
Requirements
Your Profile
- A relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent technical discipline.
- Skilled in Siemens NX (3D modeling, assemblies, drafting).
- Strong understanding of structural integration and outfitting design.
- Experience with complex marine systems is an strong asset.
- Able to work in a multidisciplinary team, with a pragmatic and solution-driven mindset.
- Good command of English (Dutch is a bonus, but not essential).
