Introduction

As an engineer at Royal Van Lent, you work on the technical elaboration of systems or structures on board. You translate design requirements into feasible solutions and contribute ideas on how things can be improved, made smarter, or more practical.



Function

  • You work in a specific field, such as piping, HVAC, construction, or mechanics. 
  • You translate design input into technical drawings and 3D models. 
  • You actively contribute ideas about feasibility and look for practical solutions. 
  • Client and design requirements often call for custom and innovative solutions. 
  • You work closely with project engineers and support engineers to achieve a well-executable design.

Organization

Royal Van Lent, part of Feadship, builds truly one-off superyachts of the highest standard. Each yacht is a unique creation, designed and constructed as a singular project. The design sets the foundation for every technical decision, driving a process that demands exceptional precision and continuous innovation. Building these one-off superyachts is an intricate undertaking, where engineering and craftsmanship converge under uncompromising quality standards. Over an average construction period of four years, every detail is meticulously developed to deliver a yacht that embodies exclusivity and excellence. 


Requirements

  • Higher professional education (BSC) level, in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or similar.
  • Experience with 3D CAD systems (e.g., Siemens NX, SolidWorks or Cadmatics) .
  • Accurate, solution-oriented, and communicative.
  • Able to translate technical challenges into practical solutions.
  • Team player with an eye for quality and manufacturability.
