Project Controls Manager – Velsen-Noord
Introduction
Project controls supporting Tata Steel’s transition to cleaner steel production.
Function
In this role, you safeguard planning, risk, cost, and progress within complex technical projects. You deliver factual insights that enable the project teams to steer effectively.
You work with Primavera P6 for planning and apply Monte Carlo analysis via Primavera Risk Analysis (PRA) or equivalent tools. You use Power BI to develop clear and transparent dashboards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop and maintain integrated project schedules (> €100M).
· Perform cost control, forecasting, budget monitoring, and EVM analyses.
· Execute Monte Carlo simulations (via PRA or comparable risk tools).
· Build Power BI dashboards covering schedule, risk, and financial performance.
· Identify deviations, risks, and trends and translate them into clear actions.
· Manage change control, reporting structures, and documentation setup.
· Act as a sparring partner for project managers and engineering disciplines.
Organization
Tata Steel IJmuiden is undergoing a major industrial transition. In the coming years, multiple multidisciplinary CAPEX projects exceeding €100 million will be executed to make steel production cleaner and future‑proof. These projects require solid project controls, structure, and reliable decision‑making information.
Requirements
You have:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar.
- 5–8 years of experience in project controls or project management in an industrial environment.
- Experience with Primavera P6.
- Experience with Monte Carlo analysis via PRA or similar tools.
- Experience with Power BI dashboards.
- Experience with large CAPEX projects.
